No conflict of interest!
What made this possible? How is this not a conflict of interest?
Historically, RESPA regulations have always permitted real estate agents to work as loan officers. However, the FHA previously prohibited this, making most banks and lenders reluctant to hire real estate agents as loan officers due to the potential risk of losing FHA approval. In December 2022, the FHA updated its rules, now allowing real estate agents to also serve as mortgage loan officers.
